Drop ship scams  Over the past few months, the number of emails we have received about drop ship scams or telling us about a bad experience has grown dramatically. It is difficult to say with certainty exactly why this is, one of our theories is that the market is slowly correcting itself and the smaller entrants into the drop ship market are suddenly finding that it is not a license to print money.   About eighteen months ago, there were only a handful of reputable drop ship companies in the UK. As savvy entrepreneurs began to recognise how many people were looking for genuine drop ship companies, there was an explosion in numbers. Of course, not all of these companies could be successful, in fact some were only created to leverage membership fees rather than to ever provide a product service.   As time has moved on, these so called entrepreneurs have realised that to consistently offer great service and great products, it requires a lot of hard work and effort. So what may have started out as an exciting new business idea, slowly turned into a nightmare. Unfortunately, when this starts to happen, the people who are affected the most are you the customers.   So, what can be done about it? These days, we’re so much more protected from rogue web sites, our credit cards protect us should an item not arrive and we can all rely on Paypal to help out with a chargeback. The issue is, a lot of these sites are now banning accounts if you dare to report that their items are not arriving. So not only does your customer not receive their goods, you also get your account closed down and lose your membership investment.   So in order to help everyone and  try to provide people with a bit of advanced warning, we’ve opened a new thread in our forum, specifically for drop ship scams. If you think that you might have been scammed and would like to report it, or simple would like to ask our other members for advice, just post on the board.   We hope that this service will prove useful, if it helps one person then it will be time well spent. Making money from dropshipping is hard enough, without having to deal with drop ship scams at the same time.
