The Quick and Easy way to make Money Online!

Easy Way to Make Money Online

Is there such a thing as an easy way to earn money online.

How many times have you read the above headline? Usually it is joined by “Make a million online” or my favourite “Sack your boss, earn $10k a month online”. Bold promises, heavy in their sales pitches and more often than not a complete waste of money.

I’m not actually sure that you would get away with any of the claims made about these products anywhere else apart from the Internet.

The simple fact is, that is takes time and effort to make money from any business. Not just bricks and mortar but Internet business as well. You see so many “Business in a box” type sales on eBay these days, you’ve probably seen them yourself….. Lingerie shops, Craft shops, Clothes shops, Playstation game shops, the list goes on. How can these possibly work? It just does not make sense. The promise is often about how you can take on the business, do a little marketing and hey presto you’re bidding against Richard Branson the next time a Tropical Island becomes available. It just isn’t like that… Life is just not like that.

I bring this up for a good reason, we’ve received 2 emails in the last week alone from buyers on eBay that have bought these so called Turnkey Business offers. Fortunately, they did not pay out too much, although the hosting is a little expensive. Anyway, their question was what can they do with these web sites now that they have them? Is it possible to turn it around and make money from them?

Our answer was yes it is, however it will take time and understanding. We made the following suggestions to our readers:

  • Personalise the web site as much as possible, remember there will be other web sites exactly the same as yours. Place your own original content on the site, make sure your customers can tell exactly what your unique sales point is.
  • If you sell on eBay, try to encourage some of your customers to your new web site. You’ll find that it will be much cheaper to sell via your website than eBay.
  • Establish your niche, don’t be a “me too” try to be something else. It’s likely that you’ll never compete on an even keel with the large Internet sites, however your size and flexibility should make up for that. Specialise and focus in certain areas.
  • One of the biggest issues for buyers of these “Cookie Cutter” web sites is generating traffic. By following the advice above, you’ll start to grow your customer base. However, we recommend you consider a press release to celebrate every mile stone. Perhaps you could also write articles that relate to your niche.
